Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Pile Cap using ATENA

چکیده
Reinforced concrete (RC) Pile cap, a thick reinforced block, is constructed to provide connection between structure and multiple single piles. In the existing design methods, behavior of RC pile cap usually considered as rigid body resulting forces or reactions on piles are assumed equal. However, in actual conditions, there possibility bending un-equal This study represents detailed finite element analysis eight-pile by using computer program ATENA. ATENA serve rational tools explain structures. Research parameters included different types loading such linear non-linear, support length pile, strength thickness cap. The results indicate that not unequal. Also, it was observed that, type had significant effect global caps.

Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced RC Bracket Using CFRP Plates
CFRP composites have unique application qualities such as high resistance and durability to environmental conditions, having relatively low weight and easy to install in strengthening concrete structure elements. The brackets should be strengthen sufficiently if they are not calculated and implemented well. Application of the CFRP is one of the methods for such purposes. The study involves usin...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Column Under Lateral Load
To serve its purpose a structure must be safe against collapse and serviceable in use. Serviceability requires that deflections be adequately small to keep the cracks within tolerable limits. Although the widely followed ACI Code suggests a detailed method of deflection calculation, it often cannot exactly perceive the actual behavior of a structure. For this purpose, finite element analysis, u...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Bond for Reinforced Concrete Structures
A high-resolution finite element model is developed using the MSC.Marc software package to investigate local bond behavior and the modeling of this behavior. In the model, interaction between concrete and steel is treated geometrically as contact between two separate bodies. Concrete is modeled as a homogenous material. A multiple, fixed, smeared crack model is used to simulate response in tens...
متن کاملFlexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling
The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Exposed to Fire
Abstract: The practical implementation of performance-based fire safety design of reinforced concrete (RC) structures hinges on the availability of accurate numerical simulation tools for the behavior of RC members exposed to fire. This paper presents a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model for the accurate prediction of both the thermal and the mechanical behavior of RC beams expose...
